Enable Chat Prompt Buttons

This setting from the Editor Settings Button controls whether some Editor Panels will display little buttons that send chat prompts to the URL that is configured in the product configuration, see AI Service Connection Configuration Section.

Currently this is only supported for the problems display on the Form Panel, to suggest fixes for (SHACL) constraint violations and other issues. It requires Show problems and suggestions to also be enabled on the Form Panel, otherwise there are no violations for the button to appear next to.

How it works

Clicking the button opens your configured chat tool (e.g. Claude Desktop) with a fixed prompt such as “In TQ create suggestions”. The prompt text itself does not carry any details about the violation - it is only a trigger. For the chat tool to actually see the violation and write a suggestion back, it must be connected to TQ Data Foundation through the MCP Server, which exposes tools to read the current UI state (including the selected asset and its reported violations) and to add suggestions back to the Problems and Suggestions display. Without an active MCP connection to the same TQ Data Foundation instance, the chat tool has no way to identify which violation you clicked on.
